# Forestry Mulching in Wilmington, NC

[Website](https://wilmingtonbushhogging.com/services/forestry-mulching/)

We open overgrown Wilmington lots and trails with a compact track loader and forestry mulching head. We mulch dense shrubs and suitable smaller trees while working around the marked trees you want to keep. The shredded material stays on-site as mulch, and buried roots remain in the ground.

- Shred underbrush, woody shrubs and small trees; stems up to 7 inches assessed individually.
- Controlled passes around the trees you want to keep.
- Mulch processed on-site; root removal and hauling are separate.

## Our Forestry Mulching Process and Equipment

Our process uses an efficient mulching head mounted on a compact track loader to shred wood, underbrush and small to medium-sized trees, typically 5-7 inches in diameter. We work in controlled passes around marked trees, then reprocess thicker material into ground cover. Tree species, density and site conditions determine how we approach each stem.

## Wax Myrtle, Greenbrier and Young Pine

Wax myrtle, yaupon, greenbrier and young pine can form a dense understory around Wilmington. We keep selected native screening and mulch the agreed growth according to stem size, density and access. Mulching does not eliminate every root, so follow-up maintenance may be needed.

## Pricing

Prices: $1,500-$4,000. General project pricing; tree removal is per suitable individual tree. Acreage, vegetation, slope and equipment access affect your quote. Larger or difficult jobs can exceed these ranges. Stump work, hauling, permits and construction-pad preparation are quoted separately.

## Past Forestry Mulching Project

Forestry Mulching in Leland, NC

A customer in Leland wanted to open up their wooded area, but dense underbrush and smaller trees blocked the way. We brought in our compact track loader with a forestry mulching head and worked around the trees marked to stay. We mulched the unwanted growth and left the material on the ground as mulch, making the space easier to walk and maintain. The owner was pleased with the work we did.

Cost: $2,750. Timeline: 1 day.
