We cut tall grass, weeds and light brush on Wilmington fields, trails and accessible vacant lots. We use a Kubota tractor with a rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog, a 60-inch cutting width and a light-brush capacity of about 1 inch. Thick saplings need mulching or clearing.
Best for grass, weeds and slender regrowth on ground our tractor can safely reach.
Weeds and light brush with stems up to 1 inch in diameter.
Planned cutting passes across fields, trails and fence lines.
A manageable field finish while roots and surrounding trees remain.

Bush Hogging in Castle Hayne, NC
A customer in Castle Hayne wanted to walk their field and enjoy it with family, but tall grass, weeds and light brush had taken over. We brought in our Kubota tractor with a rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog and cut the overgrowth to a manageable height. We kept the surrounding trees and left the cuttings on-site, making the field easier to use and maintain. The owner was pleased with the difference our work made.

Our Bush Hogging Process and Equipment
We check the field for old fencing, hidden stumps and debris before cutting. We use our Kubota tractor and rear-mounted Land Pride bush hog, choose a suitable cutting height and make overlapping passes. We finish by checking the agreed edges and access routes.
Cape Fear Fields and Overgrown Edges
Dogfennel, tall field grass and blackberry canes can hide old wire, fallen limbs and uneven ground. We check the route before cutting, keep surrounding trees and leave the cuttings on-site. Wet ditches and coastal marsh vegetation need a separate assessment.
Land Clearing Questions, Clear Answers.
What is the difference between bush hogging, mulching and clearing?+
Bush hogging cuts tall grass, weeds and light brush with suitable stems up to about 1 inch. Forestry mulching shreds denser woody growth and suitable small trees, leaving mulch on-site. Land clearing handles agreed larger trees, specified stump or root work and debris removal.
How long will the work take?+
Light field cutting may take hours, while denser mulching and clearing with hauling can take longer. We set the schedule around the agreed scope, weather, ground conditions and any required approvals.
Will shrubs and vines grow back?+
They can. Cutting and mulching remove visible growth, but surviving roots can send up new shoots. We discuss repeat maintenance rather than promising permanent control after one visit.
